The Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities (DWCPD) is in the process of developing a National Plan of Action (NPA) for Children in South Africa. The NPA is a plan for the realisation of children’s rights in South Africa. It will be led by the DWCPD and will cover the period 2012 – 2015.

The DWCPD has published a child-friendly guide to the NPA, providing information about the NPA document. It has invited all children in South Africa to submit their ideas for the NPA to the Department by 31 December 2011.
